Pick-up from your hotel at 9:30 am and transfer to the "Bella Vista Nanay" Tourist Pier to begin the journey. We will stop to observe the confluence of the Nanay and Amazon rivers, creating a striking contrast in water colors. The journey continues to the village of San Juan de Huashalado, located 1 hour and 40 minutes downstream on the mighty Amazon River, considered one of the seven natural wonders of the world, aboard comfortable and safe "Pamacari" boats.
A 15-minute walk through the village of San Juan de Huashalado leads to the Yanayacu River, meaning "River of Black Waters." Here, you'll discover the realm of giant trees and their impressive flora and fauna. A boat trip follows the Yanayacu River, exploring this area rich in birdlife and the chance to spot creatures camouflaged among the foliage (monkeys, birds, and sloths) in their natural habitat. Enjoy hikes deep into the jungle and learn about medicinal plants, but it's undoubtedly the giant flora that inspires the greatest awe, with trees exceeding 40 meters in height. Experience artisanal piranha fishing: Show off your skills with one of the most feared and delicious fish in the Amazon. Lunch at Amazon Lodge (self-service): Fish, palm fruit salad, jungle fruits, natural fruit drinks, etc. Vegetarian options available. Dietary restrictions apply, especially with prior notice.
During the return trip, we can observe pink and gray dolphins in their natural habitat. And enjoy the breathtaking sunset while navigating the mighty Amazon River.
